Katie Leimbach (b. 1995, Portland, Oregon) is a Brooklyn-based artist known for her surreal, naturalistic landscapes and symbolic imagery. Her work draws deeply from personal memory and is shaped by the contrasting environments of her upbringing: the desert of Arizona and the vibrant, lush colors of Oregon. Recurring motifs and symbols appear throughout her paintings, reflecting an intuitive and often spiritual connection to the natural world. Primarily self-taught, Katie works with thinned acrylics to create richly layered, translucent surfaces that evoke a sense of depth, emotion, and dreamlike atmosphere.
